The first wedding of 2010 and the first with my new Canon 7D body. It was an exciting day when I was finally able to afford an upgrade to the Canon 400D, which by this time was coming close to the end of its 50,000 exposure shutter life (!).

I was asked to do this wedding also at relatively short notice as the bride and groom were looking for a less expensive photographer. My friend Chi-Keung Lee (an inspirational photographer at my church) put my name out as a suggestion. I was once again honoured that another great photographer felt highly enough of my work to suggest me.

The day itself was wet and muggy. I don’t recall a time when I’ve been that hot and sweaty while taking photos! But this simple and dignified wedding was not going to be hampered by anything.
