It’s been a while since I’ve been here but there’s been good reason. As you will have known, from my last blog (see below), that things have been quite busy! There have been three main things which have happened in the last three weeks. As the days go by I’ll slowly fill you in on each event in more detail: but as a short forerunner here’s what’s been happening.
1. The Shte’s are officially engaged!
After +20 months the Shtes are finally engaged! It’s a tale involving candles, a heart warming video clip, rose petals, lies and deceit. What a great way to start our lives together!
2. BLT – the Brisbane Leadership Training event
Held at camp Currimundi on the Sunshine Coast, 105 people from various Chinese churches in the greater local Brisbane area went away for the weekend for bible teaching. Guest speakers and assistance from Sydney churches gathered to make this training event one not to be easily forgotten.
3. Celz and Julez’ wedding
The weekend just gone and a whirlwind of activity as 15 or so Brisbanites (some who were doubling up after BLT) flew down to witness the union of our dear YF brother and sister. It was a beautiful wedding rich in meaning and love. It was also a great time for Shte1 and Shte2 to catch up with our dear friends in Sydney – Benji and Faith.
As you can see, it’s been a packed few weeks – and there’s been so much to tell!
