Evangelism can be tough enough but it gets tougher when you factor in your age. For instance – a couple of girls at work were discussing how gay people are ‘born’ that way… now, I’ve done some research into that particular topic which has shown that the whole argument of being ‘born gay’ is rather tenuous to say the least. Yet can I share this information with people who are older and, in that sense, more wordly? How can a young person like me have anything constructive to add?

But then…it’s not really about adding something constructive. I’m beginning to see that speaking up at all, challenging preconceived notions and putting your neck out there for Christ, even if the result is alienation (aren’t we aliens anyway?) is all part of denying oneself and taking up your cross.
