It’s Steph’s first Mother’s Day tomorrow! I couldn’t be more proud of how she has risen to the challenge of loving and caring for our firstborn son Jayden. It’s been a delight to watch her in action.
As part of Mother’s Day celebrations we both watched this video in tears. We celebrated the decision of this woman to carry her child to full-term despite knowing that her boy was going to be born with a severe disability. Turned out to be much more worse than expected, but I’ll let you watch the clip and let her tell the remarkable story…
Then this video promoting something called ‘No Mother’s Day‘ was brought to my attention…
Sounds like an interesting awareness campaign right? Something to fully support and get behind?
But get this, part of their educational campaign is to raise awareness of ‘Family Planning’ – the organisation best known for promoting abortions.
So we’ve got a campaign to help prevent the deaths of mothers during childbirth while also promoting legalising abortions as a means of curbing the death rate of mother’s seeking illegal abortions.
Leaving aside the issue of abortion itself, aren’t these two issues separate?
