A very good friend was married yesterday. The ceremony was very nice, though quite hot by the time we sat down in the pews at City Tabernacle Baptist Church. A very beautiful church on the inside.
And again, at the reception, there were some hints and nudges and questions as to when Shte1 and I would ‘tie the knot’. I wasn’t able to give any specific dates, but it would be such a very blessed event should Shte1 and I make our vows before friends, family and God :) Oh well – watch this space ;)
Speaking of which, Shte1 and I have been thinking up ideas and making notes from the various weddings we have been to recently. Some things we’ve noted:
– The best time to have a wedding = either April/May or Sept/Oct.
– We prefer CD music for both the processional and recessional
– Speaking of the recessional: upbeat/celebratory music is cool!
– Music during the registry signing is also preferred
– Not sure about having a reception – though we both assume our parents would prefer it…
That’s all I can think of at the moment! Other minor things such as invites and gift registry ideas are also in mind.
My biggest prayer is that both Shte1 and I will not be too stressed in organising this event. It is, afterall, only a single event in the longer term married life together. Why spend so much time and energy worrying over something which will be over and done with in a few hours – as compared to the lifetime we will spend together!
