The latest addition to the family: Janessa Dawn Tran (affectionately nicknamed ‘Nessa’ for short).
As we did with Jayden we thought long and hard about the name of our daughter and pray that her life will reflect her name :)
Janessa (Hebrew – יְנָשָּׁא): Yahweh is Gracious, and/or Yahweh lifts up (from נָשָׁא – nasa – to lift, carry up)
Dawn (Old English): the first light of day…
Tran (Chinese/Vietnamese): to exhibit, show, tell.
We chose Janessa because God was not only so gracious to let us fall pregnant so soon after Jayden, but because Yahweh is always gracious and lifts up his people. We chose Dawn because God’s mercy and grace is new every morning. Our understanding and experience of God can only be described as ‘new’ every day because He is of infinite value and worth. And Tran, our surname, but one in which we pray she will exhibit, show, and tell of Yahweh’s ever-new grace, mercy and lifting up that is found in Jesus Christ.
