Hmm… I have been speaking to some people about putting up ads on my blogs to earn extra revenue on the side (and with little work). So I investigated ‘Adsense’ by Google.
It seemed like an ok deal – sign up is free and they place content specific ads on your blog/website. However I found earlier tonight that some of the advertisements were for (in my eyes at least) dodgy material.
For instance: there was a link to a book titled ‘The Gospel Of Inclusion’ by Carlton Pearson. Without having read the book itself, but reading a quick blurb from the publisher’s website, I think a fair summary would essentially run along the lines of this: Pearson denies the uniqueness of Christ and the eternal punishment of Hell.
So after noticing this I decided it was not worth it to maintain Adsense on the two main blogs – Salteee and the Pastoral Apprenticeship Musings.
You will, however, see advertisements on the following blogs:
