August was a pretty busy month with weddings, conferences and sermons to give.

October has also been quite busy and will continue to be busy – but there was also some time for rest before the busyness kicked in.

From 1st of October to the 3rd Shte1 and I spent time away at Couran Cove Island Resort. After visiting the new Coopers Plains church building, for our Southside congregation, we ducked off quickly afterwards to Hope Harbour on the Gold Coast. Caught the ferry across and spent a few nice days cycling around.

The resort itself was nice – very family oriented. Our booking also fell inside the school holidays, however we didn’t really encounter many kids running around – particularly at night when we took some walks. Some of the activities we were able to do included a banana boat ride (basically hanging onto a giant inner tube whilst being dragged around by a jet boat), archery, a champagne cruise (I got to steer the boat for about 5 minutes – navigated around a buoy!) and lots of cycling. Some of the activities were not available during certain times of the week – for instance the ‘Night Vision Walks’, walking through the rainforest at night, was not available on the nights we were staying. And the rock-climbing wall was unavailable because some vandals had burnt sections of the wall the night before! By about midday on Tuesday, though, Shte1 and I were ready to leave as there wasn’t much else to do!

The following weekend we were playing music for Southside, the week after I had a sermon to give for BCAC, this weekend YF has a Comparative Christianity Seminar (for lack of a better name!), and the weekend after that we have a wedding to attend. So all in all, a very busy month!

Looking forward to the Christmas break and heading off to Malaysia
