And with that, I hope that’s the last time I’m ever in hospital for something that’s happening to me!
For those who don’t know, my history with hospitals hasn’t been very kind. A tick over 24 months ago I was at the PA Hospital with major internal bleeding. A month later I went in again with a dry, sore and bleeding throat. Whilst I was there for the latter, an x-ray later revealed a ‘shadow on my lung’ which doctors suspected was TB – a highly infectious lung disease! Back into hospital again and I was cleared and, hopefully, things would have settled – that was 4 trips to the hospital in probably just as many months.
So when I went in for this septoplasty, I was praying for the best. It’s now been a couple of days since the operation and what can I report so far?
- Sleep has been quite difficult as my nose is very stuffy. I keep waking up during the evening as well with hot and cold spells.
- I am incredibly thankful to my loving wife who has been loving and serving me as best she can during this time. This has involved getting medicines at 3am, a bucket for my naseau, and putting up with my odd sleeping patterns. She has done so much and I praise God for such a woman.
I think it’s time now that I head back to bed and hopefully get a better night’s sleep.
