It seems everyone is in the business of posting their thoughts online. This is happening at such a rate that Time Magazine, in 2006, named ‘bloggers’ one of their ‘Persons of the Year’.

And with people starting blogs recently (who I never would have thought had desire to write) it’s probably time to re-link to another blog I recently stumbled upon. The link is to ‘The Blazing Centre‘, a blog from the Altrogge family (Mark, Senior Pastor of Sovereign Grace Church in Indiana and Stephen, his son, singer-songwriter and pastoral intern). They have posted up some helpful thoughts for Christians to consider as they blog.

Tony Payne, from Matthias Media, has written a short article to introduce the (relatively) new ‘Sola Panel Blog‘ (which I found helpful for my own personal blogging) in which he states that one of the purposes of the blog is to be:

thoughtful (offering a considered, crafted piece of writing rather than a dashed-off and/or rabid paragraph in reaction to the latest thing)

As I reflect on that I have to confess that at times my own blogs (and some comments I have left for others) have been less than thoughtful and considered. But I also praise God for the many friends and family who continue to offer helpful thoughts/feedback/comments on posts which were not as well thought out. Please keep me accountable by doing so and I will endeavour to improve the thoughtfulness of my posts as I grow in my own personal godliness and theology.
